How I look after your information
New Pangea is a small business: me, Rob Murray. This page explains in plain English what personal information I collect, why, and what you can ask me to do with it. Last updated: September 2026.
Who I am
New Pangea Ltd is registered in England & Wales (company no. 13975525). Registered office: 20 Severn Close, Thatcham, RG18 3DW. I'm responsible for your information, and you can contact me about it at robmurray@newpangea.co.uk or on 07919 882 811.
What I collect
- When you get in touch or book a call: your name, email address, phone number, job title, organisation, and anything you choose to tell me.
- When your organisation works with me: contact and billing details for the people I deal with, and the names and roles of people taking part in a programme or event.
- During programmes and coaching: feedback, survey responses, notes from coaching sessions, and 180° feedback from colleagues where that's part of the programme.
Why I use it
- To reply to you and arrange work, because it's in both our interests that I do (legitimate interests), or because we're agreeing a contract.
- To deliver the programme or talk your organisation has booked, and to invoice for it (contract).
- To keep financial records, because the law requires it (legal obligation).
- To send occasional updates about my work, but only if you've said yes. You can say no at any time (consent).
I never sell your information, and I don't use it for anything you wouldn't reasonably expect.
Coaching and wellbeing conversations
Coaching sometimes touches on health, stress or wellbeing. The law treats this as more sensitive information, so I take extra care with it. I only record it with your explicit agreement, I keep it confidential between us, and I don't share it with your employer. Reports to your organisation cover themes across a group, never what an individual said, unless you've agreed otherwise.
Who I share it with
Only the services I need to run the business, each of which must keep it secure:
- Microsoft 365, for email, calendar and call bookings
- Xero, for invoicing and accounts
- My accountant, for the company's accounts and tax
- Netlify, which hosts this website
Some of these services may store information outside the UK. Where they do, they use the safeguards UK law requires.
How long I keep it
- Enquiries that don't lead to work: up to two years.
- Client and invoicing records: six years, as HMRC requires.
- Coaching notes: until 12 months after the programme ends, then securely deleted.
Your rights
You can ask me to show you what I hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. You can also withdraw any consent you've given. Just email me. It's free, and I'll respond within a month.
Cookies
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or tracking of any kind, and its fonts are hosted on the site itself rather than loaded from Google. If that ever changes, I'll update this page and ask you first where the law requires it.
If you're unhappy
Please tell me first and I'll do my best to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
