In the middle of the night in early January in 2022 New Pangea founders Jack and Rob were over 1000 miles from land in every direction.  The nearest humans were on the international space station orbiting the Earth  250 miles above them.  The cloud cover blocked all light from moon and stars meaning they clung to the deck of their tiny rowing in the pitch darkness.  As the weather condition deteriorated and the waves reached 30 feet they fought to keep the boat moving forwards and stopping her from capsizing.

 

Waiting for the sun to come up they spoke about what they would change about their lives when the got back to dry land.  They resolved to take what this journey had taught them about their own capabilities and that in order to thrive they needed to much more deliberate about what kept them well and ultimately unlock their potential.   

 

​They entered a race to row across the Atlantic ocean unsupported, having never been in a rowing boat or knowing the difference between port and from starboard they set about preparing for this physical and mental test.  They bought a rowing boat, taught themselves everything from navigation to first aid and lifesaving at sea.  They trained physically and mentally forming new habits and behaviours that prepared them for this immense challenge.

 

They now share their story of thriving in the most risky and challenging environments on the planet.  The mindset and systems that they put in place to row an ocean translate into any sector or industry.
